With the help of artist David Heffernan, Karen Nason created an inspirational local design after hurricane Sandy. Desperately trying to check on her store, Karen waded through the floodwaters despite warnings that manhole covers might be ajar. The manhole cover located outside of her shop on Washington Street is the pattern for Hoboken Works.
Hoboken Works is a brand created by business owner Karen Nason. The design was crafted from a manhole cover and inspired in the wake of hurricane Sandy. It represents the fighting spirit of Hoboken to rebuild and push on.
